Joe, easily the most adventurous and brave of us, learned this lesson most directly. While his cleverness was usually in the right direction, this particular occasion... well. You see, this was before the Corporate Wars and all. We had pumped water into irrigation lines, those lines in turn would feed and water our crop over the entire farm. This required the proper measure of feed and water in proportion to each other, to which our boss and father left explicit procedural directions for.

Joe, however, knew better. You see, instead of portioning correctly and carefully, Joe had shown that over the course of a week, we used whole containers of product, that our process eventually worked out evenly if scaled up correctly ( no doubt a fact that Father was well aware of ). And so, realized he could 'simplify' some of the process. Mixing things in larger portions, using other containers to hold pre-measured and pre-mixed feed and fertilizer. And it paid dividends for about two weeks, freeing up hours of effort. The scamp.

Then, one mid day in July, the feed barn blew off it's easternly wall, where we kept our fertilizer. The heat, the volume of mixed fertilizers, and perhaps a bit of divine judgement had all combined to find spark and the result was akin to the domestic terrorism in the 90s. We lost weeks of food, hours of construction labor, and damn near lost Joe.

If he had simply trusted. But no, he knew better. If he had simply listened, but no, he was smarter.

Who are these people that published these Gravel Cough Cure videos? Why can't they just listen? Don't they know how many people have been hurt by their 'good intentions' and 'righteous information'? Do you know how many working class people have been caught up in this -prank-?

I'm thankful that the proper Experts at Biotechnica and NetWatch are looking out for us. Even for Joe.
